Un accidente de peaton en Chicago ha llegado a un caso fatal de conducta agresiva del camino en el lado oeste de la ciudad de Chicago, informa el Chicago Tribune.

Los medios informan que el peatón de 20 años de edad, fue disparado y matado después de ser atropellado por un automóvil en la cuadra 700 de South California Avenue, y luego discutir con el conductor. La víctima fue encontrada en South Sacramento Avenue poco antes de las 9am.

La policía dice que la víctima fue golpeado y derribado por un vehículo que pasa. No estaba herido de gravedad y al parecer comenzó a discutir con el conductor, quien salió del vehículo y le disparó. Fue llevado a John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital de Cook County, donde fue declarado muerto.

An in Illinois school bus versus car accident that occurred on a inbound Dan Ryan Expressway today has claimed the life of one person and injured two children, according to the Chicago Tribune. The collision occurred this afternoon when a motor vehicle struck the rear of a stalled school bus.

The bus was broken down in the left lane and left shoulder in the area of 75th Street. No students were on the stalled bus at the time of the bus crash, which occurred around 2:20 PM.

Rescue workers that responded to the scene had to use tools to extricate the occupants of the car, as it had become wedged underneath the bus. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle died at the accident site. Two children, ages eight and nine, were rushed by ambulance to Comer Children’s Hospital, reportedly in critical condition.

An Illinois hit-and-run accident has led to a three-year sentence for man from Minooka, according to the Chicago Tribune. The defendant struck an Illinois state trooper who was involved in a traffic stop in April, 2010 on Interstate 80 in Kendall County. After the collision, the defendant fled the scene.

The 37-year-old motorist hit the trooper at the Ridge Road exit ramp getting off Interstate 80 traveling at an excessive speed, according to a representative from the Kendall County States Attorney’s Office.

After the accident, the defendant did not report the incident to authorities and days later he relocated the car to a parking lot on the west side of Chicago. During the crash investigation, police learned the make and model of the vehicle from debris left at the site. They were then somehow able to identify a passenger in the vehicle, who then identified the Minooka resident as the driver.

An Illinois hit-and-run pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a teenager has police searching for the driver that fled the scene, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The Crash took place Monday afternoon on the west side.

The collision occurred just before 2:30 PM in the area of Thomas Street and Ridgeway Avenue, according to Chicago police officials. The pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy who resides in the 1700 block of N. Keystone Ave., was taken by ambulance to Mount Sinai Hospital and was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

The teenage victim was reportedly standing near the corner when a vehicle headed northbound on Ridgeway Avenue lost control and hit him. Police are searching for a maroon Pontiac.

To attempt to reduce the number of Chicago car crashes and injuries over the Thanksgiving holiday, IDOT, the Illinois State Police, and other local authorities are partnering in a safety crackdown throughout the State. There are are supposed to be more than 2,000 seatbelt enforcement zones, 68 roadside safety checks locations and nearly 1000 additional nighttime patrols. Police officers will be on the lookout for seatbelt violators and DUI drivers.

The additional patrols are supposed to focus on nighttime hours where statistically fewer people wear seatbelts and more people drink and drive. In an Illinois Department of Transportation press release, the State is also urging drivers to silence and/or put cell phones in the glove compartment when driving.

IDOT reports that last year on Thanksgiving weekend in Illinois 12 people died in auto accidents. Of those killed, nine were not wearing safety belts and five involved drinking and driving.

A woman is been killed in a Chicago area truck vs. car accident that occurred on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Illinois Route 394 and Steger Rd. in Crete, Illinois, according to NBC news. A tractor-trailer truck that was carrying livestock was moving south on 394 when it collided with a car that was eastbound on Steger. The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that witnesses to the accident are saying that the truck failed to stop at a red light and t-boned the car in the intersection.

The driver of the car, a resident of St. John, Indiana, was killed in the accident. She was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.

Illinois state police handled the crash investigation. nwi.com is reporting that the truck driver was ticketed for disobeying a red light and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The trucker was not injured in the crash.

NBC news in Chicago is reporting that a hit-and-run accident in Northwest Indiana has led to the death of a pedestrian. Police officers made a gruesome discovery when they pulled a truck over for speeding only to find body parts hanging from the vehicle.

The officer reportedly approached the Chevy S 10 pickup after pulling it over on Saturday night. At that time the officer noticed partial remains of a person hanging over the tailgate. He saw legs and blue jeans.

The driver of the truck, a resident of Hobart Indiana, told police officers he drank around case of beer that evening and had then hit the pedestrian. The victim was 852-year-old man from Northwest Indiana.
